Rise Of The Argonauts Xbox 360 review

What we have here is best described asMass Effect Lite. The game plays very much the same as Biowares outing. You explore towns and other environments, talking with NPCs to find information, and sometimes uncovering side quests. The conversation system is blatantly ripped straight fromMass Effect, with an identical interface for selecting Jasons response. Each response is aligned with one of the aforementioned gods. For example, Aries responses are usually confrontational and bold, while Hermes options are cunning and sneaky....

Bye Bye Balham book review

The cover of the book, however, is the only area that could be described as a letdown. Rating: 4 out of 5

Coraline review

Ron is beguiled by a potential stop-motion classic that will enthral kids and adults alike… With a pedigree like this, could the movie possibly go wrong? Coraline Jones (Dakota Fanning) is an adventurous, precocious 11 year old girl with a problem. Not exactly what she had in mind, given how much the boy talks. For example, she has to count all the doors and windows, and everything blue in the house....

Of course, Sun neednt be too concerned about vengeance, because Jin isnt actually dead anyway. Although this may be the poorest episode of the series, theres still enough happening to keep it over. Dont pretend Im alone in wanting to see it. Check out a review of episode 3here.

Bolt film review

Is Bolt the film that puts Disney animation back on the map? And, to be fair, it’s possible for you to see the Pixar influences. For the side characters in many Disney movies tend to be memorable, and thats certainly the case here. That said, the film itself has a few problems. Furthermore, whatBoltultimately demonstrates is just where Disney animation fits into the new regime. If youre looking for the daring, risk-taking material, then look for that Pixar logo....

Skate 2 PS3 review

Tony Hawk is going to have to work hard to overtake the majesty of Skate 2… A lot has changed since the first game, though. There are other changes, too. One crucial element the ease at which you could land tricks seems to have been tweaked, too. The shoulder buttons can be used to tweak your moves, too. As well as the lifelike controls, the sheer accuracy ofSkate 2s physics makes it incredibly playable, too....

Lost season 5 episode 3 examined

Oh brother, another Other. The one US series with a definite end planned continues to blow Daniel’s mind… reveals, Desmond, explosions, pretty cool revelations, Desmond. Without the familiarity of the flashback-to-present/flashforward-to-present structure, some moments just dont seem as dramatic as they should be. Last weeks Mrs Hawking cliffhanger moved us ten steps forward; this week we dawdled a bit. And yeah, Charlottes inching closer to spasmy, Constantless death. Look, we already know this stuff will happen its just how TV shows work....

Standard Operating Procedure Blu-ray review

A powerful and shocking documentary from Errol Morris arrives on high definition… If we leave theyll kill each other and not kill us. If we stay theyll kill each other and kill us. Thats the end result of this whole fucking debacle. But these are no actors. The dumbfounding moments are almost too frequent to list, each more jaw-dropping than the last. But weve all seen them. The majority of inmates interrogated on the orders of faceless officials were civilians taxi drivers, bakers, welders....

The Complete Ro-Busters review

The character-driven precursor to ABC Warriors finally - and deservedly - gets its own moment in the limelight… In nearly every vision of the future, robots are a necessary part of daily life. TV produced memorable robotic characters such as the Robot inLost in Spaceand our timelords favourite mutt, K-9. Set in 2078, he hires out his team to undertake dangerous missions. Maybe its not surprising that the days ofRo-Busterswere numbered....

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans review

Is the third Underworld movie actually any good? A young Lycan called Lucian is elevated slightly above the rest of his race by the vampire king. Viktor trusts Lucian and, though he wont admit it, has a soft spot for him. So although Lucian is not free he enjoys certain privileges that the rest of the werewolves do not. As the years pass by, Lucian becomes more and more opposed to his slavery....
