Heres our review… Ill say from the off, I rather enjoyed this film. Its a no-frills fright fest on ice, with bad weather and fearsome wildlife on stand-by. Its a first for the girl, while the two lifelong friends are more experienced. The best friend objects to the girlfriend being there. He feels she is encroaching on his territory, in what should be a boys holiday. No special effects mean that the trio really were perched on the ski lift for hours....

Actor-turned-director Ben Affleck follows up Gone, Baby, Gone with heist movie The Town. But can it bring anything new to an already familiar genre? Sure, its about bank robbers, but the job isnt the job. Rather, its the challenge of giving us something new. Because the thing about telling a story about bank robbers is that everyones been there already. Michael Manns been there, done that. So, with all the history to overcome, youd expect Affleck to pull a fast one, right?...

Short stories have fallen out of fashion. Most of us want a story that we can really get our teeth into. And it changes his life. This will largely be a case of personal preference.
