Cold Weather review

There’s a lot to be said for charm and good characters. In the indie field, originality is key, because keen-eyed film buffs nitpick at any hint of familiarity. However, thankfully,Cold Weatherhas qualities wholly its own. It certainly isnt a head-scratcher, or an intrigue-laden thrill ride. Similarly, in this unassuming, but charming film, crime solving is cast as a form of procrastination. Rating: 4 out of 5

Scream 4 review

Ghostface returns for a belated killing spree in Scream 4. But has time been kind to Wes Craven’s slasher franchise? Were now in an age of social networking, citizen journalism, smart phones and Jedward. Im sick of this post-modern, meta shit, the character says. Its all so predictable. you’ve got the option to see everything coming. While its hardlyHostel, this is by far the bloodiestScreammovie yet. No mean feat for a franchise that should have long since run out of ideas....

Steven Lisberger interview: the legacy of Tron

Im not George Lucas and this isnt Skywalker. Im not Spielberg, and this isnt DreamWorks. Im not Lasseter, and this isnt Pixar. Those guys have their own empires and I dont. Its changed over the years....

Ben Richards interview: looking back at Outcasts, its critical reaction, and where next

Over its eight episode run, it attracted some intense criticism, not all of it particularly constructive. Personally, I liked the show. In the end, we had quite a long chat about it all. And heres what happened… So, lets start with the obvious question....

Capcoms classic brawler, Super Street Fighter IV makes its debut on the 3DS. How does it fare on Nintendos new handheld?
