Danny McBride and James Franco star in the eagerly awaited new comedy from the director of Pineapple Express.
So, is Your Highness any good?
Since the moment the initial, genuinely brilliant trailer landed forYour Highness, my ticket has been sold.
It was set to be the funniest film of the year.
Which is no bad thing in itself, but theres clearly potential here for so much more.
But, whats this?
This means that Fabious and Thadeous have to stand side by side and head off to the rescue.
In particular, Justin Theroux is great whenever hes on screen, but thats nowhere near enough.
McBride swears like a trooper, and does the reluctant hero well.
Which he does from time to time.
James Franco, meanwhile, comes across as if hes continuing his stint hosting the Oscars.
But, for that to work, some firmer decisions need to be made.
BecauseYour Highness1 doesnt manage it.
To paraphrase the film, it needs more comedy magic, motherfucker.
