Warm Bodiesis a difficult movie to sell to people.

Its a zombie movie, but its not a horror movie.

Its not especially scary and the violence is, by zombie movie standards, minimal.

Its a romance, but a romance in which the hero eats the brains of the heroines friends.

Its hilarious, but its not a straight comedy.

WhatWarm Bodiesreally is, is a fairytale.

The movie is built on a fantastic performance from Nicholas Hoult as R the zombie.

Even ghosts can be sexy, in a translucent sort of way.

Even more importantly, R is not just tortured, but seriously funny.

Humour is one ofWarm Bodies strongest assets.

The other ace up the films sleeve is its soundtrack.

Alongside the original score is an evocative collection of songs that perfectly capture the slightly eerie but romantic tone.

The film is built on well-worn themes that are familiar but effective.

They may be old stories, but theyre well told.

This is not a movie for the overly cynical.
