Pixar finally brings Toy Story to the Blu-ray format.
Don Rickles as Mr. How cool is that?
However, its not perfect.
But this is theToy StoryBlu-ray, surely something better could be mustered for that?
But its the same one as the 10th Anniversary DVD, which came originally from the 1996 Laserdisc edition!
So whats the selling point here?
The film in the best quality youre ever likely to see it outside a cinema.
To say thatToy Storylooks crisp on Blu-ray is an understatement.
The colours are really vibrant and punch out of the screen at you.
But, that said, this is how it looked, and for the most part its wonderful.
The DTS audio is also glorious for those with the equipment to appreciate it.
Perhaps when the movie is 20 years old theyll produce something more with animation fans in mind, hopefully.
