Im not suggesting Salvin will be a super-soldier.
Theres something else that might explain the use of the Iron Patriot.
Were expecting the return of Iron Man, War Machine, Happy Hogan and Pepper Potts.
Were expecting references toAvengers, and quite probably a Maria Hill cameo.
Were expecting a trio of villains Maya Hansen, Aldrich Killian and the Mandarin and the Extremis Virus.
And now, weve got the Iron Patriot as well.
Perhaps thats a valid response toIron Man 2s meandering and turgid story.
Perhaps its an attempt to go even bigger and better thanThe Avengers.
Or perhaps its a huge mistake thats going to makeIron Man 3the most convoluted Marvel film yet.
At this point, we dont know.
