Is the hype machine right?
Is The Bourne Ultimatum the summer blockbuster we’ve all been waiting for?
Its not a concern, really, and nor is it anything that feels like a big cheat.
It certainly put everything else seen this summer firmly firmly in the shade.
Its also lean, with everything happening for a reason, and very little wasted time.
Take the astonishing, really immeasurably brilliant pursuit early on in the film through Waterloo Station.
Just when you think it should be wrapped up, thats when director Paul Greengrass throttles things up again.
Its just as exhilirating.
Its about as unHollywood as you’ve got the option to get.
His trick is that everything is logical, everything has a reason.
But its more than that this really is the real deal.
It really is the real deal.
And it demands to be seen on a big screen.
