Seven years later,The Birth of a Nationwas all the talk of Sundance and deservedly so.
Nats time in the main house doesnt last long as hes sent out to pick cotton.
Maybe the added pressures of directing/producing made it harder to focus as a thespian.
Its a fine performance but not always up to the material.
