Andrew chats to the always brilliant Stellan Skarsgard about his new collaboration with Hans Petter Moland.
Hes also collaborated regularly with Hans Petter Moland, andIn Order Of Disappearanceis the latest film from the pair.
Yeah, thats an interesting question.
Do you find Nilss story relatable?
Do you think theres the capability for that revenge inside a lot of people?
We have to know that the bad guys are not different from us in the world.
Whats the most trivial and impractical piece of specialist knowledge youve picked up in your career?
Thats a good question.
Useless information… Im so full of useless information, Im the kind of person that collects useless information.
I like to know everything!
What is the trajectory of the character?
What does he have to bring to the scene to make the film work?
He doesnt interfere in detail in your acting but he always talks about what the scene needs.
You had a similar experience with Kenneth Branagh onThor.
If this film got remade, would you regard that as a disappointment, or a compliment?
Hopefully someone really talented remakes it, then Id see it as a compliment.
How important was the initial collaboration on the firstThorfilm?
Because these characters are now quite popular, despite being new creations for the films.
The process of collaboration was of course great.
So its enriching for the characters to be able to have those weeks before.
Is that atypical then?
Yes, it is atypical.
Finally, whats your favourite Jason Statham film?
Hahah, I dont know, I dont know.
I cant come up with one!
Stellan Skarsgard, thank you very much!
