The latest Bond, Quantum Of Solace, arrives on Blu-ray.
But someone forgot to bring a lot of extra features with them…
In the wake ofCasino Royale,Quantum Of Solacewas always onto a bit of a loser.
Director Marc Forster has admitted he wanted this to be disorientating, but the end result is borderline unfair.
Things soon improve though, andQuantum Of Solacemakes some wise decisions.
Hes a better actor than Pierce Brosnan was, andQuantum Of Solaceis happy to rely on that.
There are some spectacular sequences in the film, and its great to simply sit back and enjoy them.
All told, though, the movie is a bit of a mess.
The DiscOne word to describe the picture quality at times here: stunning.
Here,Quantum Of Solacelooks as grade A as youd expect such an expensive and major production to be.
Its a very well presented movie.
Dont get too excited where the extras are concerned, though.
After the highs of the films presentation, things come crashing down with the extra features package.
You do still get some extras, but its just theyre not very good.
This runs to 24 minutes 48 seconds, and follows the production ofQuantum Of Solaceacross the globe.
We even see some footage being shot six months in advance of the main production.
