Powers is probably (and accidentally) the most entertaining superhero show on TV.
Find out why in this review!
Powersreally is the cherry on top of my week.
A delicious dessert that I look forward to every week.
Im sad that were halfway through the season, but I look forward to the bottom five episodes.
There is NOTHING serious aboutPowers, and I really like that.
I cant tell if this is on purpose, but thats perhaps enhancing how much Im enjoying the show.
At one point, my girlfriend (who braved this episode with me) just said, AGAIN?
Because they kept grabbing each other and sucking up the powers.
I really liked Zoras story this week.
Luckily, Retro Girl and Walker come to the rescue.
Yes, this shit is real, Zora.
Its not about how many Likes you have on Facebook.
Wolfe is fucking eating people.
Theres a major lack of Johnny Royale this week, which makes me the most sad.
The big weak point of the episode was the flashback portion.
Neither of them have the ridiculous accents from the present.
Did they gain those accents over time like superhuman abilities?
Whats up with young Johnnys disco glasses?
And I asbolutely DO NOT care about what any of these characters were up to before Powers started.
In fact, one of the shows best conceits is that the backstories are revealed through present action.
They said all of that last week.
Walker literally told the story to Deena last week in the Shaft.
So why do we have to suffer through this awful flashback?
Powers, when youre good, youre so bad youre good.
When youre bad, youre just the worst.
Keep up the good/bad work.
