The Behemoth’s new whimsical indie RTS game, Pit People, has hit early access.
Is it worth picking up?
This actually makes sense in context.
One ofPit Peoples best features is the ability to capture almost any opposing unit.
It gives each battle a bit of aPokemonfeel.
Battles take place on hexagonal grids and are turn-based.
That doesnt mean that Pit People is overly-simple though.
Frankly, the size of the world and the amount of equipment you might pick up is staggering.
you’ve got the option to finally live out that fantasy inPit Peoplewithout people judging you.
Pit Peopleis still in early access, so its understandable that its a little rough around the edges.
In some ways its remarkably complete, though.
The sound design also deserves a lot of praise.
I already mentioned Will Stampers fantastic voice work, but the music is also top-notch.
But other parts of the game dip into other musical genres as necessary.
Really, every musical choice fits its scene perfectly.
But while theres a solid base here, theres one glaring omission: the lack of story mode content.
you’re free to finish the whole thing in under two hours.
