Hearing the word charming delivered without a note of someones just burped sarcasm is becoming a rarity. Unless youre marketing a rural B&B, charm isnt a quality coveted by many. It carries with it a sense of the quaint, the out-of-touch, the deceptive even. Hand-embroidered nighties, barge-painted spoon rests and men with hidden agendas can be charming, but comedy? Revisiting Sapphire & Steel

Philip revisits short-lived but well-loved time-travel TV series featuring Joanna Lumley and David McCallum, Sapphire & Steel… Transuranic, heavy elements may not be used where there is life. Sapphire and Steel have been assigned. Little background is given to the two agents, though they are certainly extra-terrestrial in origin. Most notable of these are super-humanly strong Lead and technician Silver (both of whichareelements). Thames lost interest and it was instead picked up by ATV in the Midlands....

The Wonderful 101 Wii U review

The Wii U gets a colourful, chaotic brawler from the makers of Viewtiful Joe and Bayonetta. Here’s Ryan’s review of The Wonderful 101… Draw a line, and theyll form a sword. Draw a circle, and theyll form a fist. These occasional issues aside,The Wonderful 101is accessible and hugely entertaining. Part ofThe Wonderful 101s charm is its constant shifts in scale and even genre. Admittedly, not all of the dozens of ideas thrown intoThe Wonderful 101work perfectly....

Sonic & Mega Man: Worlds Collide (Archie Comics) Review

Archie Comics has brought us a historic Sonic/Mega Man crossover. Still, I was intrigued because of the crossover aspect. Not in terms of Mega Man meeting up with Sonic, but more with their villains broing it up. Not that I had much of a choice. The 12-issue miniseries took overMega Manfor four months. It ended up being well worth my time. This idea has two purposes. On the Mega Man side, it pops reality forward a dozen games....
