Hearing the word charming delivered without a note of someones just burped sarcasm is becoming a rarity. Unless youre marketing a rural B&B, charm isnt a quality coveted by many. It carries with it a sense of the quaint, the out-of-touch, the deceptive even. Hand-embroidered nighties, barge-painted spoon rests and men with hidden agendas can be charming, but comedy? Havent edginess and irony succeeded charm in that arena? Charming is the only word for it....

Archie Comics has brought us a historic Sonic/Mega Man crossover. Still, I was intrigued because of the crossover aspect. Not in terms of Mega Man meeting up with Sonic, but more with their villains broing it up. Not that I had much of a choice. The 12-issue miniseries took overMega Manfor four months. It ended up being well worth my time. This idea has two purposes. On the Mega Man side, it pops reality forward a dozen games....
