Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13 Review

Lightning Returns reinvents much of the Final Fantasy 13 series. Is that a good thing? The short answer is sort of. Spinning out a beautiful, character-driven story is this franchises signature attribute. The second installment remains my favorite entry in the series. Not an easy task. The veteran developer doesnt take the easy way out, instead striving to wow us one final time. Its unfortunate that some of the new ideas are what turned me off to this epic finale toXIIIs sing-song....

Robocop review

Elite Squad director Jose Padilha brings us a new take on the 1987 classic, RoboCop. Here’s Don’s review of the RoboCop remake. The original is a stone-cold genre masterpiece, for sure, and a perfectly realized film in many ways. Its when the plot introduces the dampening of Murphys human responses that things begin to go pear-shaped. Once Murphy is in full RoboCop mode, the movie comes off the rails. moment from the original....

Shameless: There’s The Rub Review

Fiona screws up in a big way when all her hopes and dreams vanish in a white haze. And is Lip there to save the day or find an excuse? And here I thought coke was a terrific product for a family birthday party? Well, he certainly isnt a Jimmy. Right then, I had a bad feeling about this. The LEGO Movie: Meet The Master Builders

Everything is awesome in Legoland for The LEGO Movie’s cast and directors. Is Hollywood that short of real ideas? So they were really very supportive of us and let us make the movie that we wanted to make....

George Clooney And Company On The Monuments Men

Usually you think you know all the stories. And we wanted it to be accessible. We liked all those John Sturges films. We also wanted to make it entertaining. That was the goal. The famously selective Murray addressed why he decided to work on the picture. Id thought about it for a whole year, so I said yes. The story is so fascinating, and as they say, untold. Most people dont know this story....
