The benefit of having such strong visuals is that it tends to distract from the somewhat slight plot. As the eponymous detective, Beatty puts in an impressively physical performance. The ultimate scene-stealer though is Al Pacino in an Oscar-nominated role as Big Boy Caprice. Its the perfect role for him really considering his propensity for combining unpredictable shouting with a sense of menace. Im gonna have a thought. Its coming… Its gone as he attempts to find a solution....
Rush does a really good job of putting across his deep-seated sense of emptiness. Sellers once said of himself, I could never be myself… You see, there is no me. I do not exist… There used to be a me, but I had it surgically removed. I dont think you often see the emptiness of him on film. When hes fully immersed in his characters theres only the pleasure of being entertained by him....

And honestly, its a shame that this scene overshadows everything else in tonights episode. How awesome is WildStar? Combat feels great, and is obviously the games greatest asset. Its action packed, and a much welcomed breath of fresh air into the MMO space. It is immensely gratifying to get that gank. But world PvP aside, the battlegrounds and arena battles are also pretty intense. Because of the combat system, it is like having a completely separate game within the game. Hell, give me a 10v10 Arena battle while youre at it....
The Legend of Korra: Book Three keeps things going strong with another fantastic episode in “Rebirth!” It takes some nudging by both Korra and Bolin, but he eventually agrees to come along. Just when all seems lost, a young orphan named Kai volunteers to join them. It turns out that hes really just on the run from the local police. The police release Kai into Team Avatars custody and he takes off with them for Ba Sing Se....
Korra calls her out on her bullshit and takes off. Meanwhile, Kai has trouble kicking his pickpocket habit and sneaks away to have some fun. Mako and Bolin go after him, catching him in the act. Perhaps a prudent performance for anyone who might be listening? Im looking at you, Dai Li, you shady fuckers! This womans firebending skills are so powerful, she must be imprisoned in a sub-zero environment....
