Ben-Hur Review

The beloved story of Judah Ben-Hur gets filmed once again…but will it work for modern audiences? There are shots of the sequence that take ones breath away with their sheer hugeness. While the movie is not unwatchable in any real sense,Ben-Huralso never truly comes to life. Here is a period piece that has a chintzy, cut-rate look to it. Ben-Huris in theaters this Friday, Aug. 19.

Mr. Robot: Handshake Review

Why bad films still deserve good reviews

And it involves the unholy alliance of the two. Its because they cant distinguish between description and discourse. There are several things that bother me about this. Firstly, as any decent critic will tell you, their review is just an opinion. Do these moviegoers not deserve the same respect from review writers as those who share their opinion? When theyre left unmoved by a film? Sometimes I think it comes down to laziness....
