That comic book wasThe Walking Deadand things worked out really rather well for all concerned.
In the source material at least, many familiar features of Robert Kirkmans past works are present and correct.
Also present are a colourful cast of heavily flawed characters seemingly in search of redemption or purpose.
Most obviously, the story is not an ensemble piece like Kirkmans other television export.
Kirkman is obviously no stranger to painting despair and hopelessness in his comics butOutcasttakes this trope to new levels.
