The show that became Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Season 3 lands on DVD.

Around the timePower Rangers In Spacewas airing, Fox Kids aired a special entitledPower Rangers Funniest Moments.

As a kid watching it all I could think was, What the hell is that from?

I wanna see that!

Well, its now eighteen years later and I can finally watchNinja Sentai Kakurangeron DVD.

Thats the official plot and if that sounds simple well…it is.

Ive only seen the first fifteen episodes and so far not much has happened.

The series begins with your standard standalone episodes with the Kakuranger team taking on various Youkai.

You dont learn much about the characters and youre basically just watching for the action.

Right off the bat, Tsuruhime is the stand out member of the cast.

The first female leader of aSuper Sentaiteam, shes easily the most likeable and fun to watch.

The other cast member worth mentioning is Jiraiya, the Black Kakuranger.

I wish I could say the guy had any redeemable character traits, but Id be lying.

Its honestly just hilarious to see this guy speaking English all the time.

His actor could speak fluent English and its a delight to hear him exclaim, Who are you?

with the other characters having no idea what the hell hes talking about.

The mecha are also great, the team getting two sets of humanoid mecha to combat the Youkai.

Oh yeah, the theme song is also about a guy getting cockblocked by a ninja.

Go watch the opening theme again and youll see what Im talking about.

The show sounds solid as well.

Not one to test out with your 5.1 surrounded sound, but it gets the job done.

Sadly theres no sight of theKakurangermovie or theSuper Sentai Worldspecial.

There arent any bonuses on this set, as was the case with the previousDairangerset.
