These four characters are all struggling with problems financial, parental, social and physical.
The performances arent bad at all.
Its a low budget film and its not packed with big names, but they all do quite well.
Of course, its unlikely anyone is watchingNever Back Down 2for the acting performances.
Its the punching performances in the fight scenes were interested in.
My guess would be not much.
You dont have to be an MMA fan to enjoy that.
Its a head-clobbering good time.
A decent chunk of the credit for the film should go to the script.
Never Back Down 2: The Beatdown, then, is a surprisingly strong straight-to-video MMA actioner.
It does everything its meant to do, and it does it well.
Its unspectacular, but its good enough.
Recommended for MMA fans.

We get some deleted scenes that Ill politely refer to as incredibly brief and of no consequence.
Theres also a commentary with Jai White and actors Todd Duffee and Scottie Epstein.
