Technically, it was two shows: the originalYes Ministerand a sequel series calledYes, Prime Minister.

You cant fall asleep during an episode ofYes Minister.

However, the lifeblood of the show was dialogue lots and lots of dialogue.

He is, like Hacker, largely self-serving though in a slightly different way.

Some of the politics ofYes Ministeris, of course, a bit out of date by now.

Some of the politics, however, can seem rather relevant.

Rumbling away in the background is a political issue over the Euro-sausage.

More important than any political issues, though, the show is simply funny really, really funny.

It also boasts a wonderful and beautifully hand-animated opening title sequence with cartoons by Gerald Scarfe.

If they do, watch you wont regret it!
