Hmm.
Particularly the question of why its suddenly not working for me like it was.
Its not that Im not enjoying bits of it.
And certainly the change of pace (this episode took place in the day!
With the sun out!)
wasnt at all unwelcome.
But at the same time, I feel like Im watching a different show to a few episodes ago.
But Kilgrave is an unrepentant psychopath.
I dont know if I should feel good about how much fun he is when hes on screen.
Hes never had to learn to use charm to control others.
So its not like hes completely devoid of negative qualities.
They didnt linger on it too long, and that moment really landed as a result.
Im just not sure if its for the right reasons.
Maybe thats the point.
As for the rest of it…
In the comics hes a Croatian doctor-turned-spy who got his powers after being doused with chemicals.
Its safe to say theyve taken the character in a different direction on TV.
Im still not really sure what Simpson is doing in the cast of this show, though.
Oh, that last moment, though?
Were back to the comics, where Jessica CAN fly.
Shes just not very good at it.
