This is one of many instances in which diversity isnt just present on these shows, but matters.
I was one of those people who cried the first time I watched the trailer forSupergirls first season.
Kara is groundbreaking simply because shes herself and she doesnt apologise for it.
Many saw her girlishness as weakness after that first trailer, and Im thankful the series proved them wrong.
This shouldnt be revolutionary, but sadly is.
Youd say, Thats a catch-22 because where did they get an opportunity to direct action?
But when its a young show or youre a new showrunner, youre scared.
It didnt instantly change the world, but Im unsure these CW shows would be the same withoutGleehaving existed.
A certain faction of fans have been asking for a musical episode sinceThe Flashbegan, and nowwere getting one.
Itd be a shame to waste all of that talent, after all.
Thats the beautiful thing about what The CW and Warner Bros have created here.
Its a universe where no one is excluded.
Theres a flavor (of ice cream) for everyone, and everyones invited to the party.
