Headlanders gameplay continues the titles throwback theme by calling upon the sacred Metroidvania genre.

The results of this approach are a bit of a mixed bag.

So far as that part of the process goes,Headlanders gameplay is a triumph.

Its important to note, though, that you arent required to always occupy a body.

The combat, however, does not benefit nearly as much from this mechanic.

Actually, many times you dont even need to bother with that.

Of those three, the plot is certainly the weakest.

The result of this approach is a rather excellent puzzle title weighed down by the tropes of another genre.
