Its funny to think back now and remember that magic was once just a fringe aspect of the series.
Fast forward to 2019, and its impossible to imagine a version ofGame of Throneswithout dragons or White Walkers.
In 2019, were essentially watching a straightforward fantasy epic with more swearing.
Maybe in some ways this was inevitable.
It just took the scenic route to get us there.
But would this be satisfying after eight seasons of following our central characters grow, change and develop?
