The Harry Potter saga draws to a close with Deathly Hallows Part 2.
But has it been worth the wait?
And more, sadly, because some of the other parts just arent that good.
Putting the stopper in theHarry Potterseries was never going to be easy.
This worked as something of a magic mirror for the younger actors, reflecting well on all.
In small moments such as this, the film is simply stunning.
Theres no other word for it.
Its just a shame for the film that the leads performance isnt quite as accomplished as its visual feats.
Ill say now that the 3D wasnt overplayed either.
If it’s possible for you to find one, that is.
The story, then.
of Dementors and Death Eaters.
Its a fitting war palette for the war film of the series.
In fact, theres little room for comedy at all in this one.
Neville gets a couple of smart lines, and caretaker Filch is still camping around in the background.
But on the whole, the tones fraught and, if youll excuse the pun, deathly serious.
So, to Snape, that mystery, wrapped in a cloak, inside an enigma.
Thats all were saying for now.
Its very good, too.
But I still wanted just a little bit more.
