We get to the bottom of the mystery…
We puzzle over some odd conundrums at Den Of Geek.
Is it better to be bald or hairy when it comes to being an action beefcake?
Thus, a reluctant point for baldness here, as lack of quantity wins out over quality.
Its a tough call this one, though.
Weaver was a rounded kick-ass action star inAliens, no questions asked.
But when she went bald, she also went just a little bit scary.
Bluntly, we wouldnt fuck with her either way.
Well call this one a tie, with a point to each.
Hairy 1 Bald 3
ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER
Arnie has, to our knowledge, only gone bald in one film.
That film wasBatman & Robin.
Its not even worth continuing the debate on this one.
Just look at the bloody photo.
Take at look at him inThe Italian Jobremake if you dont believe us.
And theres little question just how much harder he looks as a result.
And it’s possible for you to understand why.
Even Captain Rameus had a strangely sprightly collection of hair.
Theres not that much frightening about him either with the shaved head version that permeatedReign Of Fire.
But at least the latter looks like hed be mildly up for a fight.
Can you say that in any other film hes made?
Thatd be Travis Bickle inTaxi Driver.
On a point of order, Bickles head is not completely clear of fur.
So no points either way.
The conclusion:
Its obvious.
Take off the hair, and you simply look like the kind of person who could do more damage.
It really is that simple (although the films dont necessarily get any better, weve noticed).
Dont forget to let us know of any weve missed from our incredibly scientific experiment.
