Its when the battle stops that Ayers movie runs into trouble.

The scene goes on far too long and stops and starts awkwardly.

When some of the men inevitably fall, their deaths are shocking but not especially moving.

But if there was a God present during this war, he certainly wasnt hanging around Germany in 45.

Its some of that heavy-handedness and the character deficiencies in the script that stopFuryfrom being a great war movie.

Its still a pretty good one though.
