EIFF: Year Of The Dog review

Year of the Dog was the first movie Carl watched at the Edinburgh Film Festival.

Typically, we’ve put it up in the wrong order.

But never mind - the point is, was it any good?

Its my first movie of the festival.

He says hello, I calm down, and am now ready to watch.

So, the jist of the movie is about dog lovers, right?

Im not going to give everything away, but the dog does die pretty early on.

Dont look too much into that last sentence though, asYear Of The Dogis hilarious.

There are moments of pure comedy genius and utter depraved lunacy as well as a brilliant supporting cast.

Now, its flaws.
