In fact, just about everything you do inDivinity: Original Sincan change things up.

If you see a flower pot, its not just an inanimate object created to flesh out the background.

Its an object you might pick up and smash.

Break someones valuables and youll lose reputation or even have to fight them off.

In fact, many of the quests arent even labeled as such.

The only real gating system here is combat difficulty.

Go too far off the beaten path and your party will get destroyed in short order.

The combat system is just as open and complex.

The turn-based battles that play out under an isometric camera have a seemingly endless number of possibilities.

Speaking of enemies, some of the monsters in this game are wicked smart even at the lowest difficulty.

This makes the battles feel dynamic and engaging even after youve been playing for hours.

To be clear, this is not a bad thing.

Its not all Happy Fun Time, though.

Ive gotten lost and confused while playingDivinity: Original Sinperhaps more than any other game Ive played.

The first dozen hours in particular will be a hard slog for some gamers.
