The apocalypse has come early as Aaron brings forth the pain of War in Darksiders…
The question is, is this a bad thing?
No its not, actually.
Darksiders, or alternatively Zelda: Mature Edition is all about the end of the world.
If War can succeed, then maybe the balance can be restored.
Theres even a horse that War can call upon.
At first the game starts quite slowly, gradually getting you used to Wars abilities and combat moves.
Once into the game proper, the Zelda theme really hits home.
Bosses can also be epic in size, and they can be very impressive beasts.
Souls are farmed from enemies, and can also be found in treasure chests strewn around the world.
Visually,Darksidersis very impressive, if sometimes a little generic.
Some faults are apparent, though.
Overall,Darksidersis an early 2010 surprise.
Some may sayDarksidersis a Jack-of-all-trades and master of none, and this may well be correct.
It doesnt really have any truly outstanding features or moments that make you go wow!
A good start to the year.
Darksidersis out now andavailable from the Den Of Geek Store.
