Calibos has been summoning Andromeda, giving her seemingly impossible riddles for potential suitors, much to her distress.

Spurred on by his new found heroism, Perseus presents himself to Andromeda in the court of Queen Cassiopeia.

Except that Calibos isnt happy, having lost a hand, begging for assistance from his mother, Thetis.

Many perils lay in Perseus path.

Whilst battling the scorpions, more men die and Perseus faces Calibos for the final time.

Just like this review, its a lengthy film filled with plenty of rambling dialogue.

3 stars

Unlike this review, the film is broken up by some really quite impressive action sequences.

Hamlins main job is to look heroic and handsome, with his chest out.

He manages this with ease, even throwing in a good dose of looking confused.

Laurence Olivier is perfect as the tyrannical Zeus.

The same goes for The Kraken, Pegasus and even Bubo the owl.

The film doesnt lack bitrate, often in excess of 35Mbps.

Its a real shame that more couldnt be done with the quality of the transfer.

The stop-motion sequences are still impressive, though some of the other special effects are a disappointment.

A Conversation With Ray Harryhausen lasts twelve minutes and is presented in standard definition.

There are brief looks at the modelling and animation process, but nothing really indepth.
