Theyre the guys behind DCs best-selling monthly book.

He can sure as hell draw a good monster.

But dont worry, according to Snyder, Capullo will strike again!

Yeah, it seems like a running joke with you guys at this point.

Scott Snyder: It is!

Why was it important to do Superheavy now?

SS: What happens with me is that I always say Im going to do smaller stories.

GC: Scott said I was excited, and thats really true.

Gordon is my favorite character in the book.

Thats how much I love Gordon.

I was completely on board.

The only thing I honestly miss are the glasses and the mustache, which to me are signature Gordon.

SS: Yes, a big mutated mustache!

But at least the lack of mustache balances out with the Bruce beard…

GC: Yeah!

Scott came up with that idea.

And yet he would still include them!

But no, he still would send me these pictures that I was never able to see!

So hes obsessive about this.

So this is a guy with a family and a loving wife.

I have to google an image of a beard for Greg.

Greg, you told me last year that you really love drawing monsters.

How much fun are you having with Mr. Bloom?

That was incredibly fun.

So for me, its a really comfortable and fun place to be.

Because who doesnt love monsters?

Nothing but a party.

And its getting worse and worse or better and better, depending on how you want to say it.

This arc has the most new villains and characters in your entire run on the book.

Have you guys found it more liberating or challenging to create all of these new characters?

SS: Ive found it really liberating.

But Im always nervous or anxious.

So it is very liberating, because anywhere you look in the book, it looks new.

I imagine its a really good time designing all of these new things.

So that part is fun.

Like Scott will always go, Itll be fun.

We can bat ideas back and forth.

And Im going, No, this is not fun.

The clock is ticking!

Its fun one way, but the deadline sucks all the fun out of it sometimes.

SS: Yeah, thats my biggest regret, too.

So what are your plans for after Superheavy?

SS: Well, I cant really tease it.

Is there a title for that project yet?

GC: If there is, were not telling you!

But Im staying on Batman to keep the house in order.

SS: I dont even want to think about it right now.

I mean, I have, but its really about enjoying my time with Greg.

Im enjoying my time reading and seeing your work as well.

Thank you, Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo!
