Bates Motelis a show that struggles a bit with establishing new characters.
Thats why its so satisfying to see Dr. Edwards connecting as a character so well.
She knows that Normans health isnt as simple as just flipping a switch.
Thats why when you see whats actually going on here; its even more powerful.
Were now officially in the territory of where we cant trust anything that were seeing from Normans perspective.
We all know the final season is just going to be a Norman and Norma showdown, right?
This just barely feels like its taking place in the same show anymore.
That being said, Im still a sucker for lines like Dont get hit by any more cars.
I just want to see Emma get a win here before her boyfriends deranged brother kills them all.
Things arent that much better for Mr. Norma Bates, either.
Its a terribly complicated compromise of convenience.
