Widows Pique is for the most part a large celebration of Francine and Roger.
Plus theres even some poignancy present as the storyline provides some commentary on societys uneasiness with the bereaving.
Meanwhile Rogers wallet stealing antics act as the proper release valve to all of this somberness.
Elsewhere, the rest of the Smith family is swiftly dealt with in some very on-point side plotting.
It just doesnt amount to much more than that.
I could have watched an entire episode of this high drama pageantry.
Coming in or out of act breaks would have been perfect to gradually check in on Haileys growing apathy.
Its our reactions that are unnatural.
Thats true but its not funny, Roger tells us.
