Does the addition of wacky hijinks disqualify Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein from Universal Horror continuity?

Frankensteins monster chases Wilbur and Chick down a pier, which they set ablaze.
The monster himself tumbles into the sea as well.
The Invisible Mans closing joke is actually a telling one.
