Men In Black Blu-ray review

It just took this version for me to really appreciate those style choices. They were mostly missing in action for me, considering this disc wasnt released when I had it. Its fun enough, but hardly a justification for getting this movie specifically. Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus. Oh, and your life will be much better if buy this Blu-ray!...

Dream Pinball 3D (PC), Review

In the old Amiga days, you couldn’t beat a good bit of computer pinball. Ive owned various virtual tables from the day that I playedPinball Dreamson a friends Amiga and became hooked. Its less lost balls and more lost marbles. If there was some kind of award for making large ball-bearings disappear at speed, I would win hands-down. Yet I keep returning to it. It looks, for all the world, exactly like what you would find on the real thing....

Faker: book review

Mark Carey delivers an unsettling, imaginative tale, that makes for a damn fine comic book… In essence, four college kids share one drunken night together. All harbour dark secrets and all are recklessly willing to party hard. He retains his memory but otherwise hes become a non-person. He has ceased to exist in the minds of his tutors, girlfriends and employers. Only his close circle of friends know who he is....

Racedriver GRID PC review

Theres nothing particularly unusual in that butRacedriver GRIDis certainly a unique game. Racedriver GRIDalso scores points thanks to its stunning visuals. Best of all this comes with superbly slick performance both during races and elsewhere in the game. This helpfully introduces you to a variety of vehicle classes as well as a varied selection of courses. Ad content continues below The core racing engine is solid and responsive. The soundtrack, when it kicks in, is okay nothing to write home about but decent enough....

Slaine – The King review

Slaine The King reprints some of the later stories from our Celtic barbarian. This he does in company with his loyal companion Ukko and fellow dungeoneers Nest, Moorgrooth and Murdath. But for the 33 year-old tempted to dig out hisDungeon Masterguides…? But it really its debatable how good the books will appear to the casual reader. Rating: 4 out of 5

Soul Bubbles Nintendo DS review

An original, challenging and well put together puzzle game for the Nintendo DS. It also has enough juice to make games pretty, and gamers expect that. But we also expect original content. You are an elderly spirit herders apprentice, represented when on screen by a young boy. As you could tell, the game is spiritual in nature and takes something of a neo pagan/druidic outlook. Hes not especially well animated on the cut scenes, either....

Batman: Gotham Knight novelisation review

This is the year of the Bat. Gotham Knight is an animated feature which serves as a link betweenBatman Beginsand Chris Nolans second outing as director. Immediately, he sets out as Batman to investigate the incident and becomes embroiled in darker, deadlier deeds. Its a land inhabited by the dark secrets and the citys forgotten people. Edinburgh International Film Festival: surprise films and more

So, how does this film fare against the aforementioned films? Its a shame, but still a good laugh. A film that could be tonnes better, but still has some good performances hidden within. Bananaz The Gorrilaz are an interesting band, to say the least. If you get the chance, see it.

Stargate Atlantis season 4 vol 3 review

Halfway through season 4, and were enjoying a season with bare bones. Millers Crossingis one of these episodes. It doesnt go so well, as he is captured too. Directionally, this episode is slightly eerie, and contains the full sweep of the episode brilliantly. That it sets up things that will probably get looked at more in season 5 is an understatement. This is definitely one of the best of the season....

Cadaver, Mechanical Love & Just Another Love Story reviews

Lets see if it works. Its a very sharp booming beginning, which already has everyone on the edge of their seats. The film starts thereafter, with a great mix of romance, comedy and crime scene photography. The film is complex in its plot, but unnervingly, not well planned out. Unfortunately, the mix is not complete, as it doesnt really gel together fantastically. When it works, and it does, it swims....
