Alternate Realities Star Trek: The Next Generation – Yesterday’s Enterprise

Aaron highlights one of our favourite episodes from the Alternate Realities Star Trek set… This is no surprise either, as this time-warping, alternate-reality creating episode is one cracking bit of sci-fi. The episode opens with Guinan conversing with Worf about possible mates for the Klingon warrior on the ship. Gone are the families and children, replaced by phaser-toting security, military shipwide announcements and… Tasha Yar. She simply knows that this isnt right....

Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home retrospective review

So much so that its the only one my wife has seen. But where does it stand with the rest of the franchise? Drop them off and hope to hell they tell this probe what to go do with itself?!' Stargate Atlantis Season 5 Disc 1 review

This time, we find ourselves at the beginning of the end. Its fortunate then, that the writing team behindSGAmanages to set the tone incredibly well with a fantastic introduction. Shepard dreams that everything is fine, and that he and Teyla are enjoying some wine. Its a dark start to this season, and the little changes toAtlantisdont stop there. It is now time for another big change toAtlantis, in the next episode,The Seed....

Heavy Metal Dredd review

Ad content continues below The Beatles and the Monkees have never looked so beastly. There are also contributions from 2000ADs former editor, Dave Bishop and Devlin Waughs John Smith. The visual soundtrack is provided by a quintet of artists who treat their pen and inks like mean guitars. They play out their nightmarish visions with relish, all distinct soloists but creating a unifying symphony of mayhem. Judge Dredd: The Complete Heavy Metal Dredd isout now....

Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan retrospective review

Is this the best Star Trek film to date? At least for another week, it might just be… Star TrekPart Two: The Enterprise Saves JFK. Or at least thats what it wouldve been called had the late Gene Rodenberry had his way. As bad asTMPwas, it made money. And money talks, so the inevitable sequel was born. Thankfully then this isnt the Enterprise, but Starfleet training simulator. That wouldve been embarrassing) and Kirk finally has to face death....

Maybe youve seen him? WithStar Trek IIbeing another success, Paramount now knew that thisTrekfilm thing was not some flash in the pan. Terminator Salvation: From The Ashes book review

Combat-ready couple John and Kate Connor have survived a computer-led apocalypse and are waging war against Terminator death squads. Ad content continues below Connor knows that an attack on Lost Ashes is imminent. The plan goes pear-shaped. A lot of people die. Peggle Xbox 360 XBLA review

One of PopCap’s finest makes its way over to the Xbox 360… If Xbox 360 owners thought they were safe from the dangerous addiction ofPegglethen they ought to think again. The basic mechanics ofPegglerevolve around blue and orange pegs. Using the analogue stick the trick is to aim your ball at the orange pegs. And thats it, really. The simplistic nature ofPegglemakes it irresistibly easy to pick up and play without fear of over complex controls....

Tank Girl Volumes One and Two review

Ad content continues below Its a world of booze, breasts and explosions. Titan has now gathered all the strips in chronological order. These first two volumes follow those early formative Deadline adventures. Book One features all the early black and white stories. All gloriously bonkers and fuelled with adolescent testosterone and raw energy. With the strips exploding into dazzling colour, they take on a psychedelic aura. Tank Girl Vols1and2are out now....

Dementium Nintendo DS review

If you say it slowly enough you could actually feel your tongue being baffled. In pulling off this trick it joins a legion of other successful survival horror games with stupid names. As opposed to those noisy hills?Resident Evil. No less stupid a name that Mobile Evil if you think about it. And when I say right from the off, I mean it. The hospital could easily have been lifted from almost any of theSilent Hillgames....
